Dance in the land of heaven - International Dance and Music Festivals, Nepal- 2008 is being organized in Nepal. The country is rich in natural beauty which is known as the land of Mount Everest and birth place of Lord Buddha with an aim of international cultural exchange. Thus increasing international brotherhood, friendship and courtesy. Various Folk Dance Group, Ethnic Dance group, Classical Dance Group, Modern Dance Group and Musical Groups from around the world are participating in this 6 days festival running Oct 24-29, 2008.

Along with cultural exchange, this festival has tourism importance too as participating dance and musical groups dance in Nepal's centuries old historical, archaeological, religious and culturally important places. They observe world famous Himalayan ranges, travel places of religious and tourism importance.

Dance and musical artists of different communities from different nations will get the opportunity to witness the dances of different tribal groups and lingua of Nepal. You can get the information about centuries old Nepalese folk and classical music, dances and receive training of Nepalese dance through workshop.

On the fourth night, of the festival at Bhaktapur Durbar Square an International Musical Fusion will be held. In this musical Performance, musical instrument from different countries will be fused along with traditional Nepali Drums and strings. In the same night, participants of each ENSEMBLE will have to sing a World Peace Song in Nepali Version. The tracks and melodies along with lyrics in Roman Nepali will be provided after registration of ENSEMBLE. All the participants of all ENSEMBLES will be honored by providing various ethnic costumes of Nepal as a token of love.

A musical program (musical fusion) will be held in the festival where musicians will play world's various folk and other musical instruments. This festival aims to contribute towards world peace. This festival summons for peace, courtesy and friendship by singing a peace song in Nepali version.
